Since Belan.J was created in Vancouver, our design is inspired by Canadian culture and local elements. This is depicted in our signature watercolor style.
A lot of thought and care goes into the making of our bamboo fabric. We custom select our fabric weight (250gsm) to achieve the coziest, most comfortable sleep wear and daywear for your children.

Did you know our very first print was a beautiful watercolor floral design? Since then, we are all about the watercolor style for almost all our prints. We find endless inspiration in the nature surrounding us and in embracing the Canadian lifestyle here in Vancouver. We are also proud of working with a group of talented artists, transforming our visions and vibe into unique patterns.
Now, here's a little secret: in the Belan.J team, we don't just have one, but a few sets of picky eyes. It's not unusual for a design to go through more than five rounds of reprinting before finalizing for production. If we all like it, we're pretty sure you'll love it too.

Where are your products made?
They are ethically made in Guangdong, China. Our manufacturing partners are a small family-owned business - just like us! They have a keen focus on quality control and detailed attention to materials. With a fair treatment of employees, safe and healthy working conditions and environmentally sustainable production process, they have created a positive impact in their local community.
What are the materials made from?
95% Bamboo Rayon, 5% Spandex.
This fabric composition gives our fabric the buttery soft and stretch we’re known for. We custom spin our Bamboo rayon to a specific weight to get the level of softness, stretch and durability that is superior to other bamboo brands.
How do you design your prints
We work with local designers to create unique, beautiful artwork to turn into our signature watercolour style prints. We take inspiration from the world around us to create our prints. From Canada’s natural beauty to animals kids love to beautify florals, we strive to make aesthetically pleasing print that kids and parents love.
How do I care for my Bamboo Clothing?
To keep your Bamboo looking and feeling great, we recommend washing with cold water on a delicate cycle, using gentle detergent. Avoid mixing other fabrics such as towels or denim that could increase abrasion and lead to pilling. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry in a well-ventilated room.
How can I prevent pilling?
Pilling is a common problem with bamboo clothes, but there are steps you can take to prevent it. Here are some tips to help you keep your bamboo clothes from pilling:
- Wash them inside out- Washing your bamboo clothes inside out can help prevent pilling.
- Use a gentle detergent- Use a mild detergent that is free of bleach and fabric softeners. This will help preserve the bamboo fibers and keep your clothes soft.
- Avoid the dryer- Hang or lay flat to dry, as bamboo fabric can shrink in the dryer. If you must use the dryer, use a low heat setting.
- Brush them- Gently brushing your bamboo clothes with a soft-bristled brush can help remove any pilling that has occurred
What makes Bamboo so good for baby sleepwear?
When spun into fabric, Bamboo is incredibly soft and has great properties that make for a restful night sleep! Whether it’s the breathability, temperature regulating, or the gentleness on baby’s sensitive skin, there is a benefit to your baby which leads to a comfortable, long night sleep.
What are your shipping rates?
We offer FREE shipping on orders over $100 to Canada and the US (excluding remote areas)
SHIPPING RATES (under $100):
- $16 within Canada
- $16 within the US
- For international orders outside Canada and the US, rates will be calculated according to the location and service chosen. Email info@belanj.ca if you’d like a quote prior to ordering.
Please note for US and international orders, duty charges may occur. The recipient is responsible for any duty charges that occur.
When can I expect my order?
Orders are processed on business days only (Monday to Friday, excluding federal holidays in Canada). Order processing typically takes 1 to 3 business days, which does not include delivery time. For orders placed during big launches or sale events, the order processing time could be delayed to up to 3-5 business days.
How do I earn points on my order?
Sign up for our Belan.J Loyalty program and you can earn reward points on every order and when you interact with us on socials! Check out the BLOG to see all the ways you can earn.
What is your return policy?
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days AFTER receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and unwashed, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase

FINAL SALEItems purchased with a discount of 25% or more are not eligible for refund and are final sale. We do not accept returns on sale/clearance items or gift cards.
What if my items arrive damaged?
Oops! As with all handmade items, sometimes things are always perfect. If you’ve received an item that is damaged or defective due to a manufacturing error, send an email to info@belanj.ca with your order number and a photo of the defect. Please note, any item that is damaged or defective must be reported within 14 days to be eligible for exchange or store credit.

Our story
Belan.J was created out of my passion for bringing unique, beautiful, and sustainable apparel for children and families.
As a mother of three, my daily mission is to raise them with a healthy lifestyle and provide them with the best quality of life possible. I want the children who wear our clothes to experience the same care and quality that we weave into our products.
Before Belan.J was born, I worked all of my working hours as the store owner of Active Baby, a local baby store carries a variety of categories for young children and families.
